Johnson rejoins team training

After missing a month and a half through injury, Fabian Johnson made his return to some parts of team training on Tuesday afternoon as his recovery picks up speed.

Johnson suffered a hamstring tear in the UEFA Europa League round of 16 second leg on March 16th. For the first time since the injury, Johnson was able to rejoin a few parts of the team's Tuesday afternoon training session at BORUSSIA-PARK. "Everything is going well. I have no discomforts," stated Johnson after the run-out came to a close. Head coach Dieter Hecking and the Borussia team were out on the field for over an hour, ending the session with some work with the small-sized goals.

Oscar Wendt could not participate in training due to his elbow injury, while Thorgan Hazard (knee), Josip Drmic (right knee), Tony Jantschke (tear in left hamstring), Christoph Kramer (ligament damage in knee), Raffael (knee) and Mamadou Doucouré (hamstring) were also unable to feature.

The Foals will train again from 10am on Wednesday morning. Thursday's session will be available to the public, with the final run before the challenge of FC Augsburg on Saturday (15:30 CEST kick off) is set to begin at 15:30 CEST on Friday.
